The Aspects 441 HighView Excel includes a HighView perch that invites hummingbirds to rest comfortably as they drink from the feeding ports while also offering an unobstructed view of the birds. This easy to clean feeder has a built-in ant moat to discourage the local colony from invasion. With 6 feeding ports and a capacity of 16 ounces of nectar, it is a simple and quick job to clean and fill, just lift the cover. It is even dishwasher safe. The cover is bright red to attract hummingbirds and has raised flowers to prevent rain from running into the bowl and diluting the sugar mixture. Both the red cover and the clear bowl are constructed with UV stabilized poly carbonate, the most durable plastic available. The hanging rod is solid brass. This feeder can be hung or post mounted. I recently read how we could be poisoning our hummingbirds with the material that our feeders were made out of. The one I was using had a metal base and looked like it was starting to rust which I knew wasn't good for the birds. I researched a little and found this one. It is great. My hummers are really liking it and I know it is healthier for them since I am able to see the water level and I change the water more frequently. I think I was leaving the water in my previous one too long.....
