I had tried several bluebird feeders before finding the JCS WildlifeEnclosed Bluebird Feeder. Finally a winner! Could not be happier as are the bluebirds. Does the trick keeping out the starlings. I also love the 4 cups for the mealworms so I’m not out there refilling the feeder near as often as I had been.

The rain guard, being used as a "squirrel guard," is functioning just as we hoped. Our persistent squirrels have failed to find their way to the feeder, despite attempting to get over, under, around, through, and on the rain guard. What's surprised me about the guard is how visually minimal it is. It doesn't block our view, and often it completely disappears into the naturescape behind it.
I had a 38" deck hook which had the bottom of my tube bird feeder hidden by the top of the deck railing, blocking my view of the feeding birds. This 48" deck hook sets the feeder much higher so I can everything! The hook required minimal set up and is very sturdy. I'm very happy with it.
We had to pay someone to put up our owl house, and he got it up pretty easily. It looks great! Hoping an owl moved in at some point. We are in the country with a stable next door and our brush pile has rats living in it. We’d love it if an owl came and ate them.
