My husband Chris began our business as a hobby to decompress from his high-stress corporate job. Our two young boys and I helped where we could as the business grew and needed more hands. We started with a small workshop and shipping area in our basement selling Chris’ handmade birdhouses online.
From the beginning, our mission has been simple: to offer the best quality products at the best price, with the fastest shipping available, and to include the best customer service.
As our business grew, we added quality items from other manufacturers, but we’ve always prided ourselves on stocking those items in our warehouse (or basement). This means we know the product and can grab one off the shelf to help a customer with a question or a concern. It also means we can sometimes pull a part and ship it quickly to the customer when needed rather than waiting on the manufacturer to get to them. We know our customers want to be able to use the product they purchased.
Our first employee started her position in the basement and had a simple cell phone as her business phone. Today, we have just under 30 employees in 2 locations, Evansville, Indiana, and Reno, Nevada. Our company is still run by our family, and while our oldest son moved on to another career after college, our youngest son uses his accounting degree to keep us on our toes. In fact, in our name, the S stands for sons, as they were a tremendous part of growing our business.
We have a design team that not only develops new products but also continues to make tweaks to our existing products based on customer feedback. Yes, we listen to our customers and value their feedback and suggestions. We are continually reviewing our products and making changes and improvements based on what we hear and read in our reviews. Additionally, all of our items are thoroughly researched and tested by our family of nature enthusiasts before we offer them for sale.
We promise we will always offer quality and affordable solutions to wild bird and nature enthusiasts. When we purchase items for our own use, we want value and dependability, and we know you do too.
