The polycarbonate reservoirs each hold 16 ounces of nectar, with printed demarcations on the side preventing overfilling. The bold, red plastic lids snap onto the saucers easily, and 6 ports on each allow several birds to dine. Raised flower shapes around each port prevent water from entering the nectar and sullying it, and an extended ring completes each lid and provides perching spots. A depression in the center of each bowl may be filled with water and act as an ant moat, further protecting the feed, and a brass hanging rod attaches here for placing the units on a bracket. An alternate use

We use all sizes of the HummZingers (they're simply the best) but this size we reserve for non-hummingbirds. When hung without its lid, and stocked with finely-chopped walnuts, it attracts every one of our neighborhood birds except the hummingbirds, crows, and hawks. The birds easily land on the rim because there's nothing to hit their outspread wings. When hung from a narrow chain, the dish will gently swing rather than tip and spill when a bird like a jay forcefully lands.
