I have several different types of feeders in my yard including “squirrel proof” feeders.
However the only TRUE SQUIRREL PROOF feeder is Mr Birds Flaming Hot Feast Wild Bird Seed Cylinder! The regular seed cylinders get overwhelmed with squirrels, so now I only order the Flaming Hot variety. It’s a bit more expensive but it lasts a long time and keeps the squirrels away!
After decades of feeding the birds sunflower seeds in a tube feeder and a mix on the ground, I finally attracted Bluebirds and Pileated Woodpeckers with these cakes. They enabled me to attract Bluebirds without Mealworms.
Strix may be a brand name that is not as recognizable as some of the others in the optics world, but these products deserve a second look. Quality and price point make this a no-brainer if you're in the market for a birding monocular. Couple that with the JCS Wildlife reputation and excellent customer service and you cannot go wrong!
This woodpecker food cylinder attracts 3 different kinds of woodpeckers to my yard here is a picture of one of them it also attracts many other birds to my yard.
My birds love this safflower cylinder, JCs wildlife has the best prices. Squirrels don't like it!
