After years of watching my wife fix bird feeders and search for missing suet cages, I was about to give up on finding ways to deter our clever raccoons. Greasing the poles, various guard products--all failed as we would watch our camera feeds and marvel at the agility and dexterity of or four-legged opponents. I finally came across this product and bought one to see if it would work. The video footage shows the racoon try and try again—they were unable to get a purchase on the tapered tube as it would shift on the springs. Bottom line, months later, the bird feeders are exclusively being patronized by….birds! As a bonus, the squirrels are foiled as well.

The shield stops squirrels and racoons. It has solved our problem. the critters cannot get to the bird food. Highly recommend.

This is the ONLY squirrel baffle we could find that was made to fit around a 2" pole - so we were really hoping it would work. What a delight to report that it does. It looks solid, and our crafty squirrels are completely stumped by it - they can't get up the pole that previously gave them no problems at all.

This is a product that actually works as advertised. We have a rather persistent raccoon that destroyed our previous, and not inexpensive, bird feeder that had also had a guard. It was great for squirrels, but hardly slowed down the raccoon. No so this one! I think he has finally given up and gone elsewhere, though not without having attempted to do its best. This is a great product, well-designed, with good instructions. Well done!!!
