This holds so much food; however we have so many birds I have to fill it up twice a week. The birds love it. The squirrels cannot get to it. We have 4 feeders on the deluxe pole. I would like another so we only have to fill them weekly. We are very happy with this product line!!!
The finches love this feeder and we love it since we can easily see when it needs refilling. We attached the "cardinal perch" but haven't seen a single cardinal at the feeder yet. The squirrels haven't tried to get into it, but I can tell from the design - how it would close from their weight - that they'll never be able to get in.
This is a great feeder, it's well made, easy to fill and the birds are happy and the squirrels aren't. I wanted a squirrel-proof feeder that our cardinals were comfortable with and so far they've come to look, but it's early times (October) for feeding in Maryland. A very good price with free, fast shipping.
