Similar to the baffle on our popular Squirrel Stopper Deluxe Pole System, this SQUIRREL STOPPER Standard Baffle (SQSB09) features an all-metal design. This uses our patented spring technology (US007574976B2). It's squirrel-proof, so the baffle moves up and down and side to side when squirrels try to climb it. Guaranteed to stop squirrels from ground attacks! Mount your Squirrel Stopper Standard Baffle to any existing straight pole, up to 2 inches in diameter. The baffle works best when used on a pole located at least 10 feet from any trees, walls, or overhangs (anything a squirrel may use to jump from). Includes: Solid-body baffle with a dome top, 3 different-size grommets to accommodate various pole sizes, 3 stainless steel springs, mounting ring, and hardware. Pole not included.

Perfect.

Not a single squirrel has been able to get into my bird feeder since we installed it shortly after receiving it. This baffle is built like a tank, and I expect it to last a very long time. It’s long enough where a squirrel can’t jump above it and the spring system deters them as an added bonus. Just read the instructions on the height it needs to be placed. Our initial pole system was approximately 12 inches too short, so we added another 12 inch section to make it tall enough to use the baffle instructed, which works wonders. In fact, we loved it so much, I immediately purchased a second one. Thank you JCS Wildlife!

Great baffle , challenging to set up

This baffle is made very sturdy, great size with enough length to deter squirrels and raccoons. Ordered 4 open box, all came with all components , none were damaged or disfigured. Stretching the springs to clip them was a little daunting.. putting the dome cap on was the most difficult part.. the cylinder needs to be perfectly round for the cap to fit easily.. took some doing but got the caps to fit. Once all together this is by far the best baffle ever. And looks very nice

Better than the cheaper pole hats.

So far excellent. Squirrels and Racoons with all of their acrobatics, haven't figured this one out...yet. I feel like Bill Murry on Caddy Shack losing against the gopher! But with this new gadget, I don't plan on using dynamite anymore. Looks better on the pole than the cheaper swivel hats do too.
I've got a lifetime of being a mechanical person, but found the written instructions to be worthless. Throw them away and watch the video. Even then, the hole isn't perfectly round, so fitting the round cap on certainly is a challenge. Overall, it took me about 15 minutes to do what should have been a 5 minute job. But, it keeps the Squirrels and Racoons on the ground cleaning up the birdseed instead of destroying the feeders.
