This 100% seed block will feed the birds while keeping the squirrels away. The convenient center hole allows for this seed cake to be mounted on a Mr. Bird cylinder feeder. What makes this product special is the formula; sunflower hearts, peanuts, golden safflower, meal worms and it is extra spicy.

This product is a great choice for attracting a variety of songbird's porch. Our feeder is attached to a porch corner post, which makes it highly accessible to squirrels and chipmunks that regularly explore and run across the top of the porch railing… no problem. The rodents leave the Mr. Bird Flaming Hot Feast Small Wild Bird Seed Cakes alone, which makes them last longer… and that’s important in our backyard as the local birds can’t get enough.

Mr. Bird's The Best

I discovered Mr. Bird's Flaming Hot Feast a few years ago, and will continue to buy only this brand. The birds enjoy it—the squirrels can't eat it—and it doesn't dissolve like other brands. It's hard to buy sometimes due to demand, and it's a bit on the expensive side, but totally worth feeding the birds well.

Excellent design

We originally bought 2 of these feeders at a local backyard bird shop, with the guidance of the store help. It's the right size for the amount of nectar our birds drink between cleaning (dishwasher top rack) and refilling. The broader edge gives the hummingbirds a place to rest.

Our birds of all kinds love it...and I don't end up feeding the squirrels...because they don't!

So far, so good!

We’ve tried everything to keep squirrels from eating from the bird feeders and spilling seed. So far, they’ve gotten on top of this feeder and when they press the bar, it closes. So it works as promised. I’ll be watching to see if the squirrels figure out another way. They’re welcome to eat what the birds spill but I want them off the feeder!

The BEST ground feeder. Period.

Love the durable, weatherproof build of this ground feeder, and its sturdy, elevated legs that keep the seed above snowy or wet ground. But the BEST feature by far is its unique, removable tray with handle. So simple to remove and fill. So easy to take inside and thoroughly clean. And so convenient for whisking seed away at night to keep raccoons and rodents from feasting. I now own three different styles of JC Wildlife bird feeders, and all have been well worth the investment!
