Love the durable, weatherproof build of this ground feeder, and its sturdy, elevated legs that keep the seed above snowy or wet ground. But the BEST feature by far is its unique, removable tray with handle. So simple to remove and fill. So easy to take inside and thoroughly clean. And so convenient for whisking seed away at night to keep raccoons and rodents from feasting. I now own three different styles of JC Wildlife bird feeders, and all have been well worth the investment!
I put safflower seeds in this feeder to appeal to the doves, cardinals, and juncos, and it works great for these ground-feeders (and the squirrels don't like those seeds). It's sturdy and attractive, and I know it will hold up well like other feeders from JC's. I also like that I can get a variety of feeders in the same color.
