JCS Wildlife 22.5" Rain Guard - Hammered Metal Texture

I ordered this on January 20 and still haven’t received the item.

Greetings,I purchased the 22.5" Rain guard + Cylinder feeder (Red / Black) in November 2022 as our backyard birds love the Mr Bird line. Easy to configure to our feeder station adding a very unique look. Twice throughout our Minnesota Winter we had high winds that became so violent the seed Cylinder (1/2 left), feeder & Rain Guard was literally tore apart & tossed to the ground. Granted, it took extreme adverse weather to achieve this result & considering nothing was damaged beyond future use & continue using the feeder speaks to the quality. The second bad weather occurrence causing the loss of over 3/4 of the Mr Bird Seed Cylnder I noticed the length of the hook (Below the guard) simply needed to be longer/thicker & possibly harder tinsel to avoid ANY bending. This is pricey feeder (worth the cost - IMHO), designed to deliver pricey bird food (that the birds LOVE) I feel should not have failed regardless of high winds. We have several much "cheaper" feeders that held up fine & even came through without loosing all of the food. All other JC's feeders on our station performed as anticipated. I'm confident had I notified JC's support they would have replaced the hook assemble quickly & without question. Rather than gambling more food loss I decided to "Gery-Rig" the hanger/hook with Paracord & additional Grommet (Ace Hardware) & I all but guarantee this problem will be in my rear-view mirror. I wish I could could give a "5 Star but can only give a 4 Star". With needed corrections I definitely recommend this product as it adds so much to our feeding station. We've received more compliments about this unique feeder than all the other feeders we use. The contrasting Black & Red is is so damn good looking...Douglas C. SwinhartSt. Paul, MN
